The primary geographic area served by The Catholic Community Foundation is the ten counties of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee which include Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee, Washington, Dodge, Racine, Kenosha, Walworth, Sheboygan and Fond du Lac counties. At least 75% of the grants from any given fund should be directed to this area.
Organizations that are listed in the Official Catholic Directory are the primary focus of the Foundation. Other tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) organizations whose missions are consistent with the work of the Roman Catholic Church are also eligible to apply.
The Catholic Community Foundation awards grants for limited term projects and programs. The Foundation does not usually fund multi-year grants. Capital and endowment grants are given rarely and only to unique projects. The Foundation does not provide funds on an emergency basis. The Foundation usually does not award grants to an organization for more than two consecutive years; however, this does not pertain to the health care services cycle grants from the St. Anthony Fund because of prior commitments.
