In partnership with Marquette University and through a grant from The Catholic Community Foundation, we are able to help with the development of well-trained young lay leaders in confronting the challenges that lay ahead in the Church. This program places Marquette students as catechists, youth ministry assistants, confirmation group leaders, high school retreat coordinators, social justice activities assistants, and other pastoral positions in parishes and archdiocesan agencies that have financial or other pressing needs. The grant from the Foundation will have a direct impact in benefiting parishes through the infusion of faith-filled young adult role models for their children and youth. As a result of this grant and the program, we hope that college-age students will be encouraged to consider church ministry as their vocation and/or help develop a connection with parish life with the hope that they continue this commitment to parish leadership in the future.
